Email QA Checker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This policy explains what information Email QA Checker (“we”, the service operated by Plinio Tejeda) handles when you use the website, and why. The short version: the email HTML you check stays in your browser.

The email HTML you paste

  • The checks run locally in your web browser. The HTML you paste or load into the checker is not uploaded to our servers, and we do not intentionally store it.
  • If you turn on the spelling check, your browser downloads a dictionary file from our website. Your email text is still checked locally and is not sent anywhere.
  • The checker reads the links in your email but does not visit them, so tracking or unsubscribe links are not triggered.
  • Email HTML, code snippets, links, addresses and other email content are never included in our analytics.

Analytics

We may use PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how the site is used — for example, how many scans are run, which settings are used and which checks are reported most often. We only send anonymous usage events such as “scan completed” with counts (for example, the number of errors found and a score range), the page you are on and the settings you chose.

  • A random identifier is stored in your browser's local storage so repeat visits can be counted. It is not linked to your name or email address, and we do not create user profiles.
  • We don't use analytics session recording or automatic click capture.
  • If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics events are sent. You can also switch analytics off below.
  • Like any website, our hosting provider may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and protect the site.

Analytics in this browser are currently on (if configured).

Feedback you send us

If you use “Wrong result?” or the Feedback form, we store what you submit: the rule and category the feedback is about, the reason you selected, your comment, the email type setting and the date. A code snippet is included only if you tick “Include this code snippet with my feedback”. If you add your email address to general feedback, we use it only to reply to you.

Pro waitlist

If you join the Pro waitlist, we store your email address, the optional role you select, where on the site you signed up and the date. We use it only to tell you about Pro. You can ask us to remove you at any time.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember your preferences (theme, email type, UTM and spelling settings, ignored words) and, if analytics are on, the anonymous identifier described above. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.

Where data is stored

Waitlist and feedback submissions are stored with our database provider (Supabase). Analytics events are processed by PostHog. The site is hosted on Vercel. These providers may process data in countries other than your own.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access or delete the waitlist or feedback information you gave us by contacting hello@qamyemail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local data protection law.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
